When we decided to incorporate a new local specialty food section in The Cuckoo's Nest, we went tasting, talking and learning to find the best that Ottawa and Eastern Ontario has to offer! Thirteen Muesli - More Than Just A Great Breakfast!
Congratulations to the Parkdale Food Centre in Ottawa for starting up Thirteen Muesli - An Ottawa Social Enterprise! This fantastic new program started with an anonymous donation. An entrepreneurial training program for marginalized teens under the umbrella of The Parkdale Food Centre, it teaches all aspects of developing and running a business. Guided by local business professionals, the 13 teens take turns learning to run every area of the business.
